Eid Outfit - in progress

I bought the hijab at shukr and the caftan from eshakti. The caftan has splits at the sides. I was contemplating stitching the splits up, but I may opt for wearing a white pants or skirt under it, I still haven't decided.

To spice it up a bit I'll add red shoes, red knee highs and a red purse InshaAllah.

These aren't the exact bag, stockings, and shoes that I will be wearing, I was too lazy to take actual pics so I got these online, I love the style of these shoes though, they are quite unique.

Modest Wedding Dresses 3

This one is from IslamicBoutique

This one is from Al-Hijab

This one is from NextEve

Modest Wedding Dresses 2

These are from LatterDayBride .

These two are from MyWeddingShop

Bear in mind that the neck and busom should be covered and your figure should not be showing, the dress could be in a larger size to be more loose fitting and a headscarf worn to cover appropriately.

Ao Dai

The ao dai (áo dài) is a Vietnamese national costume primarily for women. In its current form, it is a tight-fitting silk dress worn over pantaloons. Áo dài is pronounced (ow yai) in the South, and (ow zai) in the North. Áo is derived from a Middle Chinese word meaning "padded coat" In modern Vietnamese, áo refers to an item of clothing that covers from the neck down. Dài means "long." (WikiPedia)

I think the Ao Dai could be 'Islamicized', obviously by not wearing a tight fitting one, try a size or two larger than your normal, and ensure that your pants fully cover your sides and legs.

I like these ao dai from Aoi Dai Vinh

Sew what !!!

I like to sew, and fortunately there are patterns available that are 'hijab' ready or that can be customized. What I like to do is wear a dress as a blouse with pants or even a skirt.

For you Muslimahs out there who can sew check out http://sewingpatterns.com/

Here are a few that I found interesting:

These are a few from Butterick

This one can be customized as a long sleeve blouse

Another long sleeve blouse, lengthen the sleeves a bit.

Make this one a bit looser fit, its too close in the waist as is.

Muslimah Swimwear

It's frustrating when you want to swim in public and can't find anything appropriate to wear. Alhamdullilah there are designers these days creating swimwear and sportwear for the active Muslimah.

Here are a few links: I bought one from Primo Moda and I love it.
